Ghost is a pale colour morph of Porcellio scaber, one of the hardiest isopods in the hobby. Its white-to-translucent shell gives it a ghostly look that stands out sharply on dark substrate. It handles a wide range of temperatures and humidity, breeds quickly and is an effective cleanup crew. A good pick for keepers who want an unusual look without difficult care.
Premium collection: these are slower-breeding, collector-grade species. Cultures are limited and shipped as a mixed-age group of 6 or more, which gives you the best chance of both sexes and a breeding start. Keep them in a stable, shaded room, below 28°C.
Ventilated tub with coco peat and leaf litter, one damp corner and the rest drier. Feed leaves, rotting wood, vegetables and protein once or twice a week, with cuttlebone for calcium. Keep separate from other scaber morphs to hold the white colour.

Acclimation Tips on Arrival
- Open the box as soon as it arrives and keep it out of direct sun.
- Gently tip the moss and isopods into their enclosure; do not pick them out one by one.
- Mist one corner, offer leaf litter and a small piece of vegetable, and leave them undisturbed for 48 hours.
- Some stress losses in the first week are normal for any live shipment; a stable, lightly humid setup keeps them to a minimum.
