A pale, icy-white form of Cubaris murina that rolls into a ball and glows against dark soil. Easy, humidity-loving and affordable.
- Icy white shell that pops on dark substrate
- Rolls into a ball
- Easy, fast-breeding tropical species
- Pairs well with Little Sea for a colour-contrast collection
'Glacier' is a white-to-translucent colour form of Cubaris murina, the same easy tropical species as our Little Sea. Its frosty shell stands out beautifully on dark substrate and moss, making it a favourite for display terrariums. Glaciers roll into a neat ball when disturbed, breed steadily in warm, humid conditions and work as a gentle cleanup crew in planted and tropical setups. Keep them alongside Little Sea for a striking blue-and-white contrast, or on their own for a clean, bright colony.
Same care as Little Sea: moist coco peat with leaf litter, sphagnum moss and bark hides, a slightly drier area, and misting two to three times a week. Feed leaf litter, rotting wood and vegetables, with a protein source weekly and cuttlebone always available. Keep the two morphs in separate tubs if you want to preserve the pure white colour line.

Shipping & Live-Arrival Guarantee
We ship Monday to Wednesday only, so your isopods never sit in a courier hub over the weekend. During peak summer (April to June) we may hold orders for a cooler shipping window and will message you on WhatsApp before dispatch. Every order is covered by our live-arrival guarantee: if any isopods arrive dead, send an unboxing video within 2 hours of delivery and we will replace them or refund you for those pieces.
Acclimation Tips on Arrival
- Open the box as soon as it arrives and keep it out of direct sun.
- Gently tip the moss and isopods into their enclosure; do not pick them out one by one.
- Mist one corner, offer leaf litter and a small piece of vegetable, and leave them undisturbed for 48 hours.
- Some stress losses in the first week are normal for any live shipment; a stable, lightly humid setup keeps them to a minimum.
