The isopod that looks like a tiny panda: a jet-black shell with crisp white patches. One of the most iconic rare isopods in the hobby.
- Iconic panda-style black and white pattern
- Rolls into a ball
- Slow breeder, high collector value
Panda King is a Thai Cubaris with a high-contrast black-and-white pattern that has made it a hobby icon. Each animal shows its own arrangement of white patches on a glossy dark shell, and the contrast sharpens as it matures. It rolls into a ball, prefers humid, well-ventilated conditions and breeds slowly, so established cultures are valued by serious keepers.
Premium collection: these are slower-breeding, collector-grade species. Cultures are limited and shipped as a mixed-age group of 6 or more, which gives you the best chance of both sexes and a breeding start. Keep them in a stable, shaded room, below 28°C.
Same setup as White Shark: moist coco peat, leaf litter, rotting hardwood, moss and cork bark, with a slightly drier zone and good ventilation. Offer protein twice a week and keep cuttlebone available. Avoid disturbing the culture often; Panda Kings breed best when left alone.

Shipping & Live-Arrival Guarantee
We ship Monday to Wednesday only, so your isopods never sit in a courier hub over the weekend. During peak summer (April to June) we may hold orders for a cooler shipping window and will message you on WhatsApp before dispatch. Every order is covered by our live-arrival guarantee: if any isopods arrive dead, send an unboxing video within 2 hours of delivery and we will replace them or refund you for those pieces.
Acclimation Tips on Arrival
- Open the box as soon as it arrives and keep it out of direct sun.
- Gently tip the moss and isopods into their enclosure; do not pick them out one by one.
- Mist one corner, offer leaf litter and a small piece of vegetable, and leave them undisturbed for 48 hours.
- Some stress losses in the first week are normal for any live shipment; a stable, lightly humid setup keeps them to a minimum.
