What You Receive: One healthy plant in a nursery pot.
Begonia 'Manaus' is a compact tropical begonia grown for its rich, textured foliage, with fine red hairs and subtle tones that give it depth. It stays small enough for terrariums and adds a natural rainforest look. It loves warmth and humidity but, like most begonias, needs airflow, so it does best in open or well-ventilated terrariums rather than fully sealed jars.
Light
Bright indirect light; direct sun damages the leaves.
Watering
Keep the mix moist but not wet; fine roots rot in soggy soil.
Humidity & Airflow
High humidity with airflow. Stagnant air causes mould.
Substrate
Light, airy mix of coco peat, bark and perlite.
Propagation
Root stem or leaf cuttings in moist moss.
