What You Receive: 3–4 rhizomes with leaves, packed wet.

Anubias nana 'Petite' is a dwarf form of one of the toughest aquarium plants. Its small, glossy leaves grow from a creeping rhizome that attaches to wood and rock, so it needs no substrate at all. It grows slowly, tolerates low light, and is ignored by most fish, making it ideal for nano tanks, shrimp tanks and paludarium water features.

Planting

Never bury the rhizome; it rots. Tie it to wood or rock with cotton thread or fix it with superglue gel.

Light

Low to medium light. Strong light causes algae on the slow-growing leaves.

Water

Stable, clean water; no CO2 needed. A root fertiliser is optional.

Maintenance

Wipe algae off leaves gently; remove old leaves at the rhizome.

Propagation

Cut the rhizome into sections with 3–4 leaves each.
