A soft-toned Cubaris striped in caramel and cream. Rolls into a ball and has a warm, elegant look that photographs beautifully.

Caramel is a Malaysian Cubaris with alternating bands of caramel-brown and creamy white across its shell. Adults reach about 1.2 cm and roll into a ball when disturbed. It prefers warm, humid conditions with good ventilation and breeds slowly, which keeps it among the more exclusive species in our collection.
Premium collection: these are slower-breeding, collector-grade species. Cultures are limited and shipped as a mixed-age group of 6 or more, which gives you the best chance of both sexes and a breeding start. Keep them in a stable, shaded room, below 28°C.
Moist coco peat, leaf litter, rotting hardwood, moss and cork bark, with a drier zone and good airflow. Feed leaf litter, rotting wood, vegetables and protein twice a week, with cuttlebone available. Disturb as little as possible while the culture settles.

We ship Monday to Wednesday only, so your isopods never sit in a courier hub over the weekend. During peak summer (April to June) we may hold orders for a cooler shipping window and will message you on WhatsApp before dispatch. Every order is covered by our live-arrival guarantee: if any isopods arrive dead, send an unboxing video within 2 hours of delivery and we will replace them or refund you for those pieces.
Acclimation Tips on Arrival
- Open the box as soon as it arrives and keep it out of direct sun.
- Gently tip the moss and isopods into their enclosure; do not pick them out one by one.
- Mist one corner, offer leaf litter and a small piece of vegetable, and leave them undisturbed for 48 hours.
- Some stress losses in the first week are normal for any live shipment; a stable, lightly humid setup keeps them to a minimum.
