Good airflow is one of the biggest factors in keeping isopods alive, especially in humid Indian weather when stale air quickly causes mould and losses. These tubs come ventilated and ready to use, so you don't need to drill or melt holes yourself. The clear sides let you watch your colony grow, and you can stack several to run multiple species side by side.
- Wipe the tub clean with plain water (no soap).
- Add 4–5 cm of moist substrate, keeping one side damp and one side drier.
- Add hides, leaf litter and a calcium source before adding isopods.
- Keep it in a shaded spot away from direct sun and heaters.
Care level: Beginner. Maintain stable humidity and temperature appropriate for this species, provide adequate leaf litter/cover, and avoid sudden environmental swings.
